FurNature par Sovrappensiero

« FurNature » est un projet de mobilier expérimental imaginé par le studio de design Milanais Sovrappensiero. Des objets et meubles qui semblent incomplets et non fonctionnels, mais qui prennent sens lorsque leur propriétaire y ajoute des éléments naturels et bruts. L’instable guéridon associé à une pierre acquiert sa stabilité, la patère simple devient porte serviette avec l’ajout d’une branche. Par ce projet, les designers se sont interrogés sur la relation que nous entretenons avec les objets. Certes, nous les possédons car nous en avons fait l’acquisition, mais quelle relation entretenons-nous avec eux ? Qu’avons-nous fait pour en bénéficier et en jouir ? Comment pouvons-nous nous les approprier ? La réponse de Sovrappensiero est alors livrer à l’utilisateur des objets incomplets, qu’il devra s’approprier pour leur apporter une fonctionnalité. L’ajout d’éléments naturels trouvés par le propriétaire selon ses propres goûts, ses besoins, créer un lien particulier avec l’objet en transformant l’utilisateur en acteur. En combinant la part manufacturée et la part naturelle, une dualité se créée.

Le studio Sovrappensiero explique à propos de ce projet :

« A project to rebalance the relationship between global and local inspiration of the product. The objects that surround us are the result of a process that involves intercontinental actors and displacements, if we consider: the design phase, the process of extraction and transport of materials, production, and finally, the distribution. These products are ours only because we purchased them, but the connection that they have with their creation is difficult to read, has no geographical connotations, and has no resonance in the cultural reality of their owners. The work on the peculiarities, the localism and customization has led us to a new research project that aims to the transformation of indistinct mass products into unique pieces, geographically characterized, with their identity and open to completion by the user. We made “incomplete” objects , aesthetically anonymous and stateless, but keeper of a functional intelligence, that can be completed and activated through the addition of natural elements found by the user in a specific location and chosen according to his own tastes, needs and links with the territory. This creates a visible duality in the final object: a minimum component, born from industry, reproducible anywhere, globally distributed and, therefore, daughter of nowhere; and a natural component, unique, daughter of a specific place and stitched on the tastes of the final user, creating a new balance between global and local. »
